Following the decision to reschedule MDMA and psilocybine for use in specific treatment-resistant mental illnesses, we have updated the Regulation of MDMA and Psilocybine webpage. This page provides information for stakeholders, including importers, researchers, health professionals and manufacturers.
The Office of Drug Control regulates the import and export of psychotropic substances. State and territory governments also regulate psychotropic substances under their poisons legislation. We also report on quantities of MDMA and psilocybine manufactured, sold, used and held in stock, to meet Australia’s obligations under the international drug conventions.
