Introduction

The Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS) provides information on how the Department of Health implements cost recovery for regulatory activities associated with the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme under the Narcotic Drugs Act 1967.

Cost recovery involves government entities charging individuals or non-government organisations some or all of the efficient costs of a regulatory activity, including for example through application fees or annual charges.

What is included

This CRIS reports financial and non-financial performance information for the regulation of medicinal cannabis and contains financial forecasts for 2020-21, 2021-22 and three forward years. The Department will maintain the CRIS until the activity or cost recovery for the activity is discontinued.
