We regulate and monitor the cultivation, import, export and manufacture of controlled substances to comply with Australia's obligations under International Drug Conventions. This includes the cultivation of cannabis for medicinal purposes.
We regulate access to controlled drugs for medical and scientific purposes. Other authorities also regulate specific controlled drugs like medicinal cannabis.
