Health Business Services (HBS) Portal now available

Published

This year we have been working to establish an online portal, to make it easier and more convenient for you to do business with us. This is part of our commitment to delivering more transparent, evidence and risk-based regulation, while reducing the regulatory burden on industry.

We are pleased to announce that the Health Business Services portal (the ‘portal’) is now live.

What has changed?

From 23 July 2024:

  • to use the portal you must register a Client Account. To do so you must have a myGovID [Note: in November 2024, myGovID changed name to myID]
  • new medicinal cannabis and narcotic drug manufacture licence applications must be submitted via the portal, and applicants will be able to check the status and progress of their application in real-time
  • applicants and licence holders will be able to add/change nominated contacts and authorise registered users to draft and/or submit applications on their behalf.

See here for links to:

We will progressively move all other licence, permit and notification forms onto the portal throughout the remainder of 2024.
